Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Application Engineer based at our GTE business in Orlando, FL. Develop and promote technical solutions and provide technical scope validation and other engineering and technical input to the ITO process in order to ensure efficient response to customer inquiries. As part of the Commercial team ensure visibility and mitigation of technical risks. Provide technical input to product/scope standardization within the designated product

Job Responsibilities

  • Follow, create, and adapt the Sales process
  • Create executive, financial, and technical summaries
  • Compliance with EthosEnergy and client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
  • Pre-bid technical qualification and proposal development around defined standard product solutions including technical scope development / estimating associated with customer/site specific requirements.
  • Communicate and advocate technical solutions to the respective buying influences within the client’s organization.
  • Provide product technical support to Sales in order to select the most appropriate product configuration for the customer demand.
  • Respond to technical questions from prospective customers related to product applicability and capability.
  • Provide product technical training for key internal stakeholders.
  • Work with Sales and Engineering to develop specific deal strategy to maximize win potential with profitable project execution.
  • Assist in the creation of cost models and participation in DOA reviews.
  • Provide input to management for the development of productivity tools to enhance the accuracy and speed of proposal development.
  • Provide input to Marketing for new product development initiatives.
  • Participate in the review of marketing collateral for technical accuracy.
  • Perform site surveys in order to configure product solutions to specific customer requirements.
  • Provide technical training to clients enabling them to understand the scope of the EthosEnergy offering.
  • Support configuration control records maintenance.
  • Supports contract negotiations with timely document edits and internal review and approvals.
  • Participate in customer complaint issue resolution as required either resulting from a direct EthosEnergy activity issue or as requested to support other investigations based on knowledge held.
  • Understand our potential customers and partners and their challenges and use this knowledge to develop a customer centric product plan.
  • Develop and maintain product standards.
  • Works with regional and workshop teams to obtain accurate estimate(s) for proposals.
  • Work within the team to develop a culture where everyone embraces, upholds and accepts responsibility for a safe workplace, a healthy working life, a sustainable environment and the right and duty to intervene.

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Able to understand and capture CTQ and support strategy development.
  • Strong knowledge of overall OneEthos products and capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate market findings into new product/enhancement ideas.
  • Extensive ability to investigate product capability extension including potential for design changes, upgrades and improvements which may be driven by (but not limited to) cost reduction, HSE issue resolution or new product implementation requirements (and market drivers).
  • Ability to lead and/or support Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Proficient computer skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Deep understanding and ability to use SalesForce and other tools.
  • Communicates information effectively through both formal and informal means (i.e. verbal, written, and presentation) ensuring they are appropriate for the audience.
  • Experience as a team leader or leading people is a plus.
  • Experience with technical and commercial RFQs
  • Experience managing and redirecting multiple priorities

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a technical role related to design, technical support, field service or sales application engineering
  • 7-10 years of Applications Engineering or Engineering experience

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
